its true. Most religions when allowed to dictate matters of the state,
will start to persecute anyone who does not agree with the state's views
on religion. Secularism is the movement that ended the tyranny of the
church. Secularism will also one day end the tyranny of the Malingsia Talibans. This is why they fear secularist.

is the sad state of affair in Malaysia. Sigh... sigh... even I have to
think twice (in fact many times) before posting this comment on FB
because those who walk in the corridor of power can rule that my posting
is seditious when obviously it is not.
The authorities in Malaysia seem to have the power to make something out of nothing, and something seditious out of an ordinary thing.
What is happening to my beloved country? There seems to be an unseen hand out there bent in destroying the multiracial facet of Malaysia. To add to this woe, the PM and the government are turning the other way allowing NGOs like Perkasa and Jati; and individuals like ReduanTee Abdullah and Dr. M (there are many more!) to spew out venom of discord which are obviously seditious. Sigh... and yet they walk about freely whereas petty cases like the poor dog handler Maznah and the resort operator got themselves detained.

The
ulamas in Malaysia are going overboard with Islam. I blame this
phenomena to PAS as they are the one who mix politic with religion. PAS
introduction of HUDUD law has ignite sea of extreme malays into going
overboard in all conduct of common logic.

Yes PAS is a problem, but the same problem exists in UMNO. If you give politicians the power to manipulate religion, what do you think they are going to do? Of course they will use it to further their own political agenda. Is the resort operator's act more criminal than say:-
* taking a hefty commission on a national arms purchase,
* murder using govt-salaried employees,
* allowing a cow-breeding project loan to be spent on taking expensive holidays,
* giving out citizenships without due process,
* allowing aliens to come and live here only becos they'll vote for you,
* sitting on your hands and swinging your legs while Msians live in fear of the current scary shooting spree,
* "fixing" judicial decisions to side certain people,
* setting records of unaccounted for deaths in police lock-ups.
Did the resort operator set out to offend anybody? Do we need the police to be guardians of our spiritual welbeing as well as law and disorder. Leave the police to the tasks they were set up for and they'll do a good job.

We need a clear report/ study report of religious freedom of Asia by some independent bodies and universities to declare annually--just like human right report and index! Thus we need religious freedom index, too.

PU Zhao shi is one of the most terribly discrimination and torturing of religious freedom or in Bahasa we call it as @Penganiayaan dan diskriminasi dan eksploitasiaan kebebasan agama yg paling mengzalimkan dlm sejarah Malaysia!!!!!!!!
